IPHCA is currently recruiting for the following full-time positions - Oral Health Program Director, and  Quality Improvement Coordinator:

The Oral Health Program Director reports to the CEO and is responsible for developing, implementing, supporting, informing, and coordinating programming for oral health integration and for identifying potential resources for development of oral health community health center (CHC) programs.  Key result areas include:  contributing to the strategic planning, implementation, management and evaluation of initiatives that are central to integrating oral health in the primary care setting and in developing oral health initiatives; providing technical assistance (TA) resources and training for CHCs aimed at the development and/or strengthening of oral health programs; playing a significant role in the development and delivery of TA and training events for oral health initiatives/programs; working with policy staff regarding reimbursement barriers for oral health services; and effectively representing IPHCA in a wide variety of settings.

Bachelor’s degree in health care administration or a related field is required along with a minimum of three to five years of experience, preferably in a healthcare/community health center environment.  Dental Hygienist experience is a plus.  The position also requires the ability to think strategically and deliver technically, with a high degree of self-direction and organization; excellent interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills; knowledge of clinical settings, processes, and culture, including an understanding of managing change; the ability to create and maintain coaching/TA relationships with health centers;  commitment to ongoing program and professional improvement; and proficiency with Microsoft Office Word, Excel and PowerPoint.

The Quality Improvement (QI) Coordinator reports to the Community Health Center (CHC) Programs Manager and the Director of the Indiana Quality Improvement Network.  The QI Coordinator provides coordination and direct support to Health Center Controlled Network (HCCN) participating health centers (PHCs) and other IPHCA members for quality improvement (QI) and Health Information Technology (HIT) activities.  Primary responsibilities include participating in user/peer group meetings regarding QI and HIT activities; coaching and conducting performance assessments with PHCs related to HCCN QI projects and initiatives; assisting IPHCA Federally qualified health centers (FQHCs) and other health center members with Patient-Centered Medical Home (PCMH) Recognition; assisting other IPHCA staff with planning, coordination, and evaluation of QI training for PHCs and other IPHCA members, including identification of training consultants as needed; and staying current with QI research and serving as a QI resource.

Bachelor’s degree in health sciences or related field required plus two years QI experience.  Two years of graduate level education/internship experience may substitute for work experience.  The position also requires strong facilitation skills, knowledge of principles related to PCMH, Meaningful Use (MU) and QI; interest in and knowledge of community health care and primary care; ability to effectively communicate with a diverse customer group in a complex environment; strong team building and collaboration skills; creative thinking; and excellent, high-level proficiency in all Microsoft Office software. FQHC and electronic health record (EHR) experience is preferred.
