Recent Developments in Community Health Center Finance

The past two years have brought a number of legislative and policy changes that impact health center finances.  These include changes at the federal level that impact program funding and patient eligibility.  The healthcare marketplace continues to evolve to more value-based pay, but perhaps not far enough to provide positive cost/benefit for health center investment.  Regardless of any payor changes, one of health centers’ greatest challenges will be recruiting and retaining providers.

This full day intensive session will cover all of these issues.  Led by Curt Degenfelder, a national expert on community health center finance and operations, we will explore the financial impact of policy changes, the cost/benefit analysis of value-based care, the transition of FQHC payment systems, and provider retention.  This will be Curt’s fourth straight year coming to Indiana, and previous participants have appreciated the highly interactive nature of these sessions.  We look forward to seeing you there!
